Join the Swing Set (New Mexico musicians Richard Snider on bass, Dave Anderson on saxophone, and Richard Eager on guitar) in Olive Rush’s Garden for a sunset evening of jazz from the Great American Songbook.

PRESENTERS: RICHARD SNIDER currently leads an adult big band in Santa Fe and teaches private lessons. He played and taught music to New Mexico students of all ages for over fifty years, received multiple teaching awards, and performed with Paul Horn, Kaye Ballard, Ritchie Cole, Bobby Shew and Bobby McFerrin. RICHARD EAGER says “Music is a necessity for me, like food and water.  Whether listening to it, dancing to it or making it, music is truly the ‘universal language.’ Music is only love looking for words.  But then, writing about music is like dancing about architecture.“  DAVE ANDERSON played multiple woodwind instruments for over sixty years. He performed with Nancy Ames, Ella Fitzgerald, Cher, Rosemary Clooney, Bob Hope, Glen Campbell, Chita Rivera, Mel Tormé and Linda Ronstadt, as well as the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Santa Fe Pro Música, National Flute Ass’n, Santa Fe Community Orchestra, Santa Fe Women’s Ensemble, Zia Singers, National Dance Institute, Three Faces of Jazz, SuperSax New Mexico, and Time Out for Brubeck.
